Prime Minister Barzani Meets GCC Secretary General

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday met in Davos with Jasem Al-Budaiwi, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

They exchanged views on the situation in Iraq and the efforts and discussions among political parties to form the new cabinet.

They agreed on the importance of further strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Gulf countries.

On the situation in Syria and the ongoing clashes, the Prime Minister expressed his deep concern over the escalation of tensions and violence, and stressed the importance of protecting peace and stability, and respecting the rights of the Kurdish people and all components of Syria.
