Prime Minister Barzani Meets Prime Minister Schoof in Davos

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday met with Dick Schoof, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, in Davos on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.

They emphasized the importance of further developing bilateral relations across various sectors. The Prime Minister highlighted the KRG's reforms to build a strong economic infrastructure in the Kurdistan Region, and expressed his gratitude for the Netherlands’ support and assistance, particularly in the agricultural sector.

They also discussed the military escalation in Syria. Both sides expressed concern over the fighting and unrest, and stressed the need to end the hostilities, preserve peace and stability, and respect the rights of the Kurdish people and all components in Syria.
