Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets with High Council for Investment

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today met with members of the High Council for Investment.

The Chairman of the Kurdistan Board of Investment, Mohammed Shukri, updated Prime Minister Barzani on current levels of investment in the Kurdistan Region and ways in which further opportunities can be created for international and local investors.

Prime Minister Barzani recognised the need to simplify and incentivise the process to attract investments that are aligned with the needs of the public in the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani emphasised the government’s commitment to developing the Kurdistan Region into a preferred destination for investors, especially through diversifying the agriculture and industry sectors.
