Statement from KRG spokesperson

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Sadly, today Dr. Kawan Ismael and Dr. Idris Hamakhan died in a brutal crime.

As the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), we offer our condolences to their honorable families and thank the Ministry of the Interior and security forces for successfully arresting the criminal in a short time.

In relation to these types of crimes, the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister has stressed the importance of “the Ministry of the Interior and the security forces taking all necessary measures to eliminate unregistered weapons and confronting criminals regardless of their background.”
