UNMAS to provide mine action training courses for IKMAA teams

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Head of Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA), Jabar Mustafa received today the Chief of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in Iraq, Pehr Lodhammar.

The discussion touched upon strengthening the cooperation and coordination between the IKMAA and UNMAS, particularly by bolstering the former’s efforts in cleansing more areas across the Kurdistan Region of mines and explosives.
 
UNMAS Chief reassured Mustafa that they will continue to support IKMAA teams in their work to expand the areas cleared of unexploded ordnance in order to protect civilian life.
 
UNMAS also pledged to provide more training course for IKMAA teams to develop their skills in the future.
