Mine Clearance Efforts Continue: IKMAA Defuses Devices in Several Subdistricts

On Sunday, 6 April, 2025, the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA) in Erbil successfully defused multiple mines and explosive devices along roads and near tourist attractions. 

The agency's Explosives Destruction Team conducted four missions in the Sherwan Mazn, Piran, and Diyana subdistricts, safely neutralising threats at each location. The neutralised devices were subsequently transferred to a warehouse for destruction.
