Acting Minister of Natural Resources meets with US delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – The KRG Acting Minister of Natural Resources, Kamal Mohammed Salih, on Monday met with a US delegation led by the new US Consul General in Erbil, Irvine Hicks, to discuss bilateral ties and trade.

Both parties highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination between the US and the Kurdistan Region. The interim minister emphasized the legal and constitutional right of the Kurdistan Region to produce and export its natural resources as they discussed projects in the oil and gas sector.

The US Consul General welcomed the opportunity to deepen bilateral relations, noting the importance of a strong partnership between the US and Kurdistan Region.
