Nearly 50,000 employees receive salaries digitally

We are pleased to announce that nearly 50,000 KRG employees in Erbil province received their May salaries digitally through the "My Account" project, a figure that has doubled compared to the previous month.

As the KRG has previously stated, the aim of the "My Account" project is to provide secure and convenient banking for public sector employees to receive their salaries through banks licensed and approved by the Central Bank of Iraq. This ensures citizens enjoy full ownership and control over their finances.

We are delighted that with the project's expansion, more of our citizens can enjoy the benefits of banking and build greater trust in the financial services sector, as all participating banks have committed to offering quality banking services and products nationwide.

By the end of this year, all public employees – close to one million – will be registered for bank accounts through the ‘My Account’ initiative.
