KRG Minister of Finance Chairs Meeting with Pension Directorate Heads Across the Kurdistan Region

On Tuesday, 13 May 2025, Awat Janab Noori, Minister of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), chaired a meeting with directors of the Pension General Directorates from across the Kurdistan Region to address the processing of pensioners’ transactions.

Minister Noori underscored the urgency of expediting efforts to resolve pensioners’ cases efficiently. He highlighted recent measures undertaken by the Ministry of Finance, including the delegation of authority, system optimisation, staff increases, and extended working hours across the directorates.

The meeting also reviewed progress made since the implementation of these measures. Since early February, more than 10,200 pension transactions have been completed. Additionally, over 2,000 pensioners are scheduled to be added to the May payroll and will receive five months of retrospective payments.
