Minister of Justice Meets with Iranian Consul

On Monday, 3 March 2025, Firsat Ahmed, the Minister of Justice of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), met with Faramarz Asadi, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil. The accompanying delegation included Maisam Bigi, Head of Political Affairs, and Muhammed Rozbahani, Head of Iranian Diasporas’ Affairs in the region.

The meeting, also attended by Shilan Arif, Deputy Minister of Justice, focussed on enhancing legal collaboration between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Minister Ahmed reaffirmed the KRG’s commitment to supporting the broader diplomatic community in the region.
