Minister of Peshmerga Visits 1st Mechanized Division

On Monday, 12 August 2024, Shoresh Ismail, Minister of Peshmerga Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) visited the 1st Mechanized Division and was received by its commander Lt. Gen Sihad Barzani. The minister was accompanied by Deputy Minister Abdul Khaliq Babiri and senior staff and commanders at the Ministry.

The purpose of the visit was to closely inspect the division’s operational activities and assess its needs. Minister Ismail toured several Peshmerga defense and strategic points in the region.

The Minister of Peshmerga Affairs highlighted the importance of the 1st Mechanized Division during the war and reiterated his full support to its forces.
