KRG Minister of Peshmerga Bids Farewell to Director of the Combined Joint Task Force Military Advisor Group in Iraq

On Wednesday, 4 June 2025, Shoresh Ismail, Minister of Peshmerga Affairs in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), bade farewell to Brigadier General Kevin T. Hamm, Director of the Military Advisor Group in Iraq, Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.

Minister Ismail emphasised that Gen. Hamm is regarded as a true friend and expressed the Ministry’s deep appreciation for his support and the coalition forces. This continued assistance has been vital in strengthening the Ministry of Peshmerga’s military infrastructure, enhancing the operational capacity of the Peshmerga forces, and advancing key reforms and rehabilitation initiatives.

Gen. Hamm expressed pride in the collaborative effort that led to the successful reform of the Peshmerga forces and the creation of new divisions. He highlighted this accomplishment as a significant milestone and emphasised the collective hope that the Peshmerga will continue to stand united.
