Minister Safeen Dizayee meets French Consul General Mr. Olivier Decottignies

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Minister Safeen Dizayee on Thursday at the Department of Foreign Relations met with Mr. Olivier Decottignies, Consul General of the Republic of France to the Kurdistan Region.

Minister Dizayee and Mr. Decottignies discussed the latest events in Iraq, political, economic issues and health situation in the country. They also emphasized the importance of Sinjar normalisation agreement between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government. It will help to allow the people of Sinjar and other communities to return to their homes in safety and with dignity.

The French Consul General confirmed his country’s willingness to further strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation with the Kurdistan Region across all levels.

The Minister thanked the continued France support and assistance to the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
