Head of DFR meets with Indian delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Head of the KRG’s Department of Foreign Relations, Minister Safeen Dizayee, on Wednesday hosted a delegation of Indian industry leaders headed by the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, Prashant Pise, and the General Consult in Erbil, Subhash Kain.
Both sides discussed opportunities to deepen economic ties between the two nations, and how to leverage the Republic of India’s experience in developing trade deals and attracting foreign investments. Members of the delegation will meet with relevant authorities in the Kurdistan Region to explore investment and trade opportunities in the sectors of agriculture, energy, industry, irrigation, and commercial goods.
The also highlighted the importance of bilateral engagement, which would include visits to promote commercial, cultural, scientific, and academic exchanges. Minister Dizayee expressed the Kurdistan Regional Government’s readiness to strengthen economic and commercial ties with the Republic of India and steps to encourage companies to invest in the Kurdistan Region.
