Minister Safeen Dizayee meets with Greece's Consul General and Professor Syros

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Head of the KRG’s Department of Foreign Relations, Safeen Dizayee on Wednesday received Vasileios Syros, professor of history and comparative political theory, and the Medici Archive Project’s Director of the Early Modern Greek Culture Program, and Greek Consul General in Erbil, Dr. Stavros Kyrimis.

Both sides discussed the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Greece and ways to further strengthen the relations and ongoing cooperation at all levels, in particular, in fields of scientific research, exchange of experience and expertise, education and cultural interactions.

They also discussed the current political developments in the region, mainly the ongoing government formation in Iraq.

Minister Dizayee expressed his gratitude for Greece’s contributions and continued support to the Kurdistan Region, also thanked Prof. Syros for sharing his knowledge with KRG’s institutions and wished him further success.
