Minister Safeen Dizayee meets with Head of EU Liaison Office in Erbil

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Head of the KRG’s Department of Foreign Relations, Safeen Dizayee on Wednesday met with the Head of the European Union Liaison Office in Erbil, Marie Paret to discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.

Both sides discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and beyond, current deadlock in Iraq’s political process, and the efforts to form a new cabinet. Minister Dizayee outlined the KRG’s vision and policies to resolve Erbil - Baghdad disputes through dialogue and based on the Iraqi Constitution.

They also exchanged views on the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the European Union, and emphasized the importance of further engagement and cooperation in various areas. Minister Dizayee thanked EU for its continued support to the Kurdistan Region.
