KRG Head of Foreign Relations Meets with Russian Consul General

On Tuesday, 17 June 2025, Safeen Dizayee, Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Department of Foreign Relations, met with Maxim Rubin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the Kurdistan Region, ongoing regional tensions, and the critical importance of peace and dialogue in addressing these challenges. The two sides also discussed the unresolved disputes between Erbil and Baghdad, emphasising the broader significance of maintaining security and stability across the region.
