Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Within the framework of the digital transformation vision and aim of the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), and the primary mandate of the Department of Information Technology (DIT) to accelerate the achievement of this vision. On May 27-30, 2022, the Department of Information Technology participated in HITEX 2022 - the third technology exhibition. 

The participation of the department in such technology exhibitions lies in presenting the digitalized systems developed by the department as well as demonstrating the process and strategy of the digital transformation of the government to citizens, the media, and the public.

The most prominent digital systems currently being worked on and presented by the department at the technology exhibition are: the Population Information System (PIS), the Citizen Complaints System (CCS), and the Kurdistan Financial Management System (KFMS). These digitalized systems have a significant impact on the daily lives of citizens, since they ensure more efficiency, transparency, and bureaucracy reduction. Furthermore, digitalized systems eliminate excessive spending in government institutions.

HITEX is the largest annual technology exhibition in Kurdistan Region and Iraq. Every year, several local and international companies participate in HITEX to present their latest technology projects and inventions.
