KRG Statement on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - The Kurdistan Regional Government issued the following statement congratulating Muslims around the world and in the Kurdistan Region as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr:

“Tonight, our fellow citizens and Muslims of Kurdistan, across Iraq, and around the world, will celebrate Eid. After a month of fasting and prayers, we join our Muslim brothers and sisters in wishing that this Eid will bring peace and solidarity among the peoples of Kurdistan, and allow us to celebrate our diversity and each other’s beautiful traditions.

“The health of our citizens remains a top priority for the Kurdistan Regional Government. We therefore encourage everyone to play their part in protecting themselves and their loved ones, and abide by official health guidelines when celebrating as we continue to fight the spread of the coronavirus.”
