Statement by the KRG Department of Media and Information regarding 2021 Federal Budget Law

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Department of Media and Information today released the following statement:

“During the Council of Ministers’ meeting dated April 7, ministries and the relevant authorities were tasked with taking concrete measures to implement provisions that relate to the Kurdistan Regional Government in the 2021 Federal Budget Law.

“As such, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Board of Audit has written to the Federal Supreme Board of Audit to establish a joint plan to appoint representatives and review public revenues. The KRG has designated the region’s representative in this regard, and is calling on the Federal Supreme Board of Audit to initiate its process and begin implementing the provisions of the 2021 Federal Budget Law.”
