Statement by the KRG on International Labour Day

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – The Kurdistan Regional Government has released the following statement on International Labour Day:

“This May 1st, on International Labour Day, we congratulate the workers of Kurdistan, Iraq and the world. Workers are the main driving force of the economy, and we recognise the difficult work they accomplish and the important role they play in building the foundations of our homeland.

“The Kurdistan Regional Government supports the rights of workers and strives to provide them a safe work environment and better conditions through laws and regulations that protect their interests.”
