KRG Ministry of Interior Launches Training Programme to Empower Women in Public Service

On Sunday, 29 June 2025, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Leadership and Management Academy (LMA) and the European Technology and Training Centre (ETTC), launched a five-day training programme.
The training will benefit 100 women officers, staff, and employees from various departments within the Ministry of Interior. It will be implemented across the governorates of Erbil, Slemani, Duhok and Halabja, as well as the administrative districts of Rapareen, Zakho, Garmyan, and Soran. The programme aims to build the capacity of women working within the Ministry who serve in key roles across public institutions and hold leadership responsibilities in service delivery.
The initiative by the Ministry of Interior is part of a broader commitment to recognising the vital role of women in public service. It seeks to enhance their skills through contemporary scientific and leadership training, thereby strengthening their presence and impact within government institutions. The overarching goal is to ensure women play an active role in the reconstruction of Kurdistan and in advancing the quality of public services for all citizens.
