KRG Coordinator for International Advocacy and UN Agencies Discuss Implementation of International Recommendations

On Wednesday 12 February, 2025, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Coordinator for International Advocacy, Dindar Zebari met with representatives from various United Nations agencies operating in the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, Zebari outlined the key responsibilities of the International Advocacy, emphasising the importance of aligning international recommendations with the KRG’s efforts in human development, human rights, and good governance.

He also highlighted the KRG’s ongoing initiatives to promote human rights principles both domestically and internationally.

Lastly, Zebari underscored the crucial role of UN agencies in maintaining a presence in the Kurdistan Region. He stressed that their continued engagement is essential for service provision to vulnerable populations, including refugees and internally displaced persons, as well as for advancing human rights initiatives.
