KRG Coordinator for International Advocacy Meets Consul General of the Netherlands

On Sunday, 23 February, 2025, Dindar Zebari, the Coordinator for International Advocacy (OCIA) of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), met with Adriaan IJsselstein, Consul General of the Netherlands in the Kurdistan Region.

They discussed the KRG's Human Rights Plan for 2021–2025, OCIA’s role in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in Geneva, the abolition of the death penalty, and the protection of freedom of expression. 

Consul General IJsselstein emphasised that the Kurdistan Region serves as a successful model in implementing human rights recommendations and continues to make significant progress despite encountering numerous challenges.
