KRG Coordinator for International Advocacy Meets Egypt’s Consul General

On Thursday, 20 February, 2025, Dindar Zebari, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Coordinator for International Advocacy, met with Mahmoud Farouk Amer, the Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the meeting, Zebari highlighted the KRG’s Human Rights Plan for 2021–2025, which was approved by the Council of Ministers in September 2021. He explained that the Office of the Coordinator for International Advocacy (OCIA) has been entrusted with overseeing its implementation.

Zebari also outlined OCIA’s collaboration with relevant federal institutions to advance key initiatives, including efforts to combat narcotics, prevent human trafficking, and protect minority rights.

Consul General Amer underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Egypt, particularly in exchanging expertise to promote human rights.
