Food security has been a strategic priority for the Ninth Cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Construction of Slemani’s 100-metre road is moving ahead steadily, with the 21-kilometre Tasluja–Tanjaro section set to open by the end of the year.

The Ninth Cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has consistently prioritised water security, spearheading the construction of numerous dams, ponds, and clean water initiatives throughout the region.

The Halabja steel silo, with a total capacity of 40,000 tonnes of wheat, includes 16 warehouses, 10 storage units, multiple buildings, and various administrative departments. The project is nearing completion.

As part of the Kurdistan Region’s ongoing efforts to boost tourism, the second phase of the Zakho Promenade — commonly known as the Corniche — is nearing completion, with a total investment of IQD 6 billion.

Construction is progressing rapidly on the Ba’adre–Duhok highway project. The 26-kilometre road is being built to modern standards by local labour.

Following a decision by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has launched a tourism master plan in Soran District.
